What is it like to be a Producer-Member?

The Gathering Place Co-op will be owned by its producer-members, who will each pay a one-time membership fee to access the benefits of ownership, which includes voting rights and potential dividends, if and when the co-operative is a profitable venture. Membership is limited to producer-members, but customers do not need a membership to shop at The Gathering Place. Anyone can shop at The Gathering Place to support local farmers and producers!

What are the benefits of being part of community?

Offering local, fresh, high quality raw and prepared foods, complemented with a great customer experience is the mantra, and will be a key differentiator. We will provide Smoky Lake County customers with less need to leave the community and travel to other locales to dine and purchase their grocery items. An important benefit is that producer-members directly benefit from being a part of and shopping at The Gathering Place Co-op and can influence its development and product and service offerings.
