There is no better time to join our co-op and be a part of something great, and have more control of your food sources, community support, and the local business vision.

The Gathering Place is the name of our business as we know that it will bring people together, the name also reflects the importance of community where people can connect, lift each other and share ideas and stories over a hot meal or cup of coffee.

Our home-style dishes are easy to heat and serve and appeal to everyone: Ukrainian cabbage rolls and perogies; sausage and fresh pork and beef; turkeys for any holiday dinner; canned, preserved, and baked goods, and all the seasonal fresh ingredients you can usually find at farmers’ markets in the province.

Serving Edmonton and areas to the north.

Authentically Albertan

Growing food is in our DNA. It’s how we live and breathe and how we make our living. We care for the land so that it can care for us because the future of every small-scale farming operation depends on healthy soil.

Respecting the land and treating it right determines what food ends up on our tables and yours. We are proud of what we grow—from garlic to turkeys and everything inbetween.

When you want to feed your family with truly locally grown food, raised by small-scale conscientious growers, we hope you will visit us, either in person for a sit-down meal or by shopping our online store.

With the vision of building in the community, and helping people know where their food comes from, The Gathering Place co-op has naturally been gaining attention locally, and this has brought more and more people to check out our location. It has also brought some news outlet attention from The Western Producer.

Working Together is the Only Way to Grow Together

  • A farmer’s co-operative, or co-op, is a member-owned, democratic assocation of people united to meet their common economic, social and cultural needs, and goals.
  • A membership requires the purchase of shares that results in equity (when the co-op is profitable). That investment also allows each member to take part in decisions of the organization’s direction.
  • With the purchase of a membership, you help the co-op move forward by providing perspective to the members of the co-op’s board of directors or joining the board yourself.
  • Together we can build a better future where we know where our food comes from.
